Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Been going here for many years, ever since I was in gradeschool! Of course you have to order their Paczkis that are made and sold yearly in February (picture/video here), but their cute tarts and presentations are excellent and for some, look too good to eat! Flavorful and thoughtful designs.
Simply the best bakery with large variety to satisfy every sweet tooth! All time favorite is Forest Fruit - very light cake and cream with freshest berries. Always a great chose, even if you didn't order your cake or pastry in advance.
Everyone were so ready to help. I was on a rush and they were able to help me to put together this 1 cake, using 3 different pictures for that look. They don't see making money first, but The happiness and satisfaction of their customers. Delivery man was so kind and respectful, and everything was professionally done. I also used them 9yrs ago for my daughter's christening, and cake had the shape of a bible and was perfectly made, as picture. That's the reason why I went back. Sincerely, Naomie H
This review for Oak Mill Bakery is overdue but I have to shout out their amazing team at both the Niles and Arlington Heights locations for their diligence, attention to detail and organization. Basia, at the Niles location, was so attentive to my questions and that of my small tasting group as we prepared and planned the sweets table and cake for our October wedding. Her suggestions were authentic and rooted in what would work best within our budget as well as based on usual "fan favorites" that we'd still enjoy. Her patience and organized correspondence, as well as the fluidity with which her team coordinated with our venue-location coordinator was seamless - I didn't have to play the "middle man" in any correspondence or communication. Oak Mill was on top of everything! Not only this, but I still have family and friends reaching out asking where we ordered our kolaczki (a Polish favorite) and cannolis (an Italian favorite). Basia was mindful of budget when building in these special cultural connections through our choice of sweets, too...and it was scrumptious to match! Our cake was outstanding and both the dessert table and served cake were almost completely cleared by the end of the night. A major hit! Now that we are coming up on our one-year, Bill at the Arlington Heights location has been incredibly helpful in creating an Anniversary Cake. This is a special service Oak Mill Bakery offers - a smaller version of your original wedding cake. What's best is Bill went out of his way to look up our original order, making my side of making arrangements extra simple. This will be an added special bonus to any anniversary, to be sure. A big thank you to the Oak Mill Bakery team!
We just worked with Oak Mill Bakery for our wedding cake and sweets table. From the initial tasting with Basia to the final delivery- had an amazing experience. Everything was beautiful and tasty, and we received endless compliments from our guests!
Cakes and sweets are very delicious. Very beautifully made. Loved them. Only one small thing they should try to change is staff seriousness. Smile for god sake. But as bakery it is amazing.
They had little samples on the side which helped me decide what flavor I want. The staff are sweet and take their time explaining the difference desserts and their fillings. I really loved the long rolls with the cheese and fruit filling, it’s on the top shelf! (Not sure what they’re called)
My wife and I had our wedding cake designed here. Basia and her team were fantastic. They made us comfortable with all of the selections they had as well as provided countless samples. We landed on their lemon cake with rasberry and lemon curd filling. It was easily the most delicious cake we have ever had. Then 1 year later we called on short notice to have a duplicate made for our anniversary. Basia had this ready, without issue, within 2 days! We cannot recommend them enough!
I had the pleasure of working with Basia on the design and catering of our sweets table for our wedding in Lake Forest. Basia understood my vision and taste immediately and executed my dream sweets table perfectly. We received endless compliments regarding the deliciousness of the sweets as well as the presentation. My daughter’s 1st birthday cake was exactly what I wanted. The stunning cake looked better than the photo I gave them & let’s just say the feeling WAS THE BEST CAKE FILLING I HAVE EVER HAD. This is the best bakery! I love you all
